PASEP Africa is a development and humanitarian organization that empowers pastoralist through community driven and well design researched development interventions.
WHAT WE DO
We empower pastoral communities to thrive in the face of climate challenges, design and implement innovative risk mitigation solutions that protect pastoralist against risks like droughts and animal health and promote smart agropastoralism practice
We are concerned with huge and widening pastoralist community needs, vulnerability deepening and serious development gaps requirement. We inspire to reduce poverty and vulnerability among the pastoralist communities of ASAL areas
PASEP Africa embraces a people centered approach on working with our target communities to identify challenges, focused on inclusive community empowerment, local capacity building, strategic institutional linkages and community driven and owned development for sustainable outcomes.
PASEP Africa anchors its program to Government and county governments program that focus on environment and climate change – the provision of clean, healthy, safe, and sustainably managed environment that is consistent with Chapter Five of the Constitution of Kenya. In addition to mainstream issues of environment conservation, climate change to reverse deforestation, biodiversity loss, and land degradation in the country also factored is UN Sustainable development Goal(SDG) 1,2,3,5,13,15.

HOW IT WORKS
Cascading Innovations
Cascading climate adaptation and mitigation measures at the community level requires strong aggregating boundary organization. As such, these three parts are crucial to our sucess:

Community-Based Programme
- Our innovations and programs are inclusive, pulling women and youth to the forefront of resilience building Initiatives

Livestock Management
- Implement training programs that equip pastoralists with knowledge and skills in sustainable livestock management, climate-smart agriculture, and alternative income-generating activities.
- Facilitate access to climate-resilient livestock breeds and drought-resistant crops to enhance productivity and reduce vulnerability.

- We incentivize the aggregation of communities to access high-value upstream markets and information to boost their incomes
